We welcome visitors year round! Public tours are available Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (subject to availability). They run 1-2 hours in length, and must be scheduled at least 7 (but no more than 60) days in advance.
Your tour can be customized to your group’s interests:
General Information Tours: Visit the Winspear Opera House, Wyly Theatre, Strauss Square and Sammons Park, with general information on each venue.
Educational Tours: Designed to supplement class curriculum for arts education programs at the high school or college level, educational tours may be customized to your class’s area of study.
Architectural Tours: Get a special focus on the innovative features of the Center venues as implemented by the Pritzker Prize-winning architects who designed each venue.
First Saturday Tours
In concert with the Dallas Arts District’s First Saturday event schedule, Center tours are offered on the First Saturday of each month for the general public. The tours are 45 minutes in length and run on the half hour from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. No reservations are needed and the tours originate from the reception desk of the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House.
Join us for a free backstage tour of the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House featuring the Moody Foundation Chandelier Light Show. All tours begin at the Reception Desk in the front lobby of the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House and last approximately one (1) hour.
2019 Holiday Tour Dates and Hours
