Know Before You Go

Tips to Help You Make the Most of Your Visit

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to your next performance at our downtown campus — or at one of our partner-operated venues. Here are a few things to help you prepare ahead of time so you can be fully in the moment when the curtain rises.

What do you want to know?

There is no dress code. Wear anything that complements the spirit of the performance or occasion you are attending!

If you are attending a performance at one of the Center’s venues in the Arts District (or our partner facility, Moody Performance Hall), we suggest you consider parking in either the Lexus Red or the Lexus Silver, both of which are accessible from Jack Evans Street on the east end of downtown. There are a variety of options, from self-parking to valet.

If you are attending a performance at one of our partner venues, there are a variety of options for you as well. Check out our guides to the Kalita Humphreys Theater, the Majestic Theatre or the Texas Theatre.

It’s easy to get into the performance hall with your e-ticket on your mobile phone. Double-check your performance details before you leave home and make sure your phone is charged so you can show it at the door.

Our venues offer all manner of tasty concessions and refreshing beverages for sale, and they’re allowed inside the performance halls on a show-by-show basis. No outside food or drinks are allowed, even in our outdoor spaces like Sammons Park and Strauss Square.

If you’re looking for the perfect place for a meal before the curtain goes up, we would be honored to welcome you at one of our restaurants or point you in the direction of preferred restaurants within walking distance.

As a courtesy to other patrons, we ask that you keep your phones and mobile devices in your pocket or purse during performances. Most artists prohibit photography of any kind, and performances are copyrighted. Live in the moment and enjoy the show!

We want to do everything we can to deliver a premier outing for you when you attend one of our performances. We are blessed with a kind, knowledgable staff and an army of amazing volunteers whose mission is to help you make memories at the Center. Any Center staffer will be happy to help if you have a question while you are attending a performance.

If you have specific questions, we suggest the following sources:

• Check our FAQs for information about ticket policies, emergency contacts and other topics.

• Visit our Accessibility section for questions about accessible parking, assistive listening devices, sensory-inclusive aid and more.
