Free Community Dance Class Series

In honor of Dallas Arts Month, join us on Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. in April for a month long celebration of dance. Broaden your horizons and learn about different styles of dance from a special lineup of guest instructors representing some of the most dynamic and culturally diverse performing arts companies in Dallas. These classes are free and open to the public.

April 1
Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico
Learn basic ballet folklórico rhythms and movements with Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico! Bring a partner or come with friends, this is a class for all ages.

April 8
Singin’ in the Rain with Dallas Theater Center’s Gena Loe
Come join Dallas Theater Center’s Gena Loe for a Broadway dance class suitable for all ages. Gena will be teaching a combination from Singin’ in the Rain sure to appeal to any Broadway fan! All levels welcome.

April 22
Family Ballet with Texas Ballet Theater
Join Texas Ballet Theater for a family-friendly ballet class led by TBT’s Principal Rehearsal Director, Anna Donovan. All experience levels welcome and comfortable clothing is recommended.

Beginner Dunham with Nycole Ray
Dunham Technique is a vibrant dance form that engages the body, mind and spirit! Created by dance pioneer Katherine Dunham, the technique is informed by the traditional dances of the African Diaspora, as well as by modern and ballet. Join Nycole Ray of Dallas Black Dance Theatre for this energetic class for all ages and experience levels.

Free parking is available at the Winspear Opera House in Lexus Red Parking.
