Semimaru, Assistant Director of the foremost Butoh dance company Sankai Juku, and company dancers Taiki Iwamoto and Makoto Takese will lead a master class based on the technique developed by the company’s founder Ushio Amagatsu. Major themes of Mr. Amagatsu’s work are the relationship of the body to gravity and the relationship between gravity, the earth and the environment.
