CITY DIONYSIA is a once-in-a-lifetime outdoor arts and music festival featuring a cavalcade carnival of art, food, music, dance, and storytelling in honor of the birth of Theatre and its patron god, Dionysus! Step back into ancient Greco-Roman times and celebrate the anarchy and the divine within us all. Explore the city, discover the ancient tales, join the drum circle, picnic at Mount Olympus, and dance with the Gods! City Dionysia will culminate into an epic adaption of Euripides’ THE BACCHAE featuring dance, music, poetry, spoken word, and puppetry. Don’t miss out on this bohemian, Bacchanalian experience set against the glittering and steely backdrop of the City of Dallas!

This production includes excessive drinking of wine, guitar battles, partial nudity, open flames, theatrical fog/haze, naughty words, stilt-walking, vulgar puppetry, gorgeous drag, bloody violence, and a one-of-a-kind adaption of a an ancient Greek classic.
