“Pictures on an Exhibition”

8:00PM Thursday, April 18, 2013

A musician of grace and vitality, Orli Shaham has established an impressive international reputation as one of today’s most gifted pianists.

Hailed by critics on four continents, Orli is in demand for her nuanced interpretations of the standard and modern repertoire. Orli’s impressive discography includes the recent release, Hebrew Melodies, with her brother, the violinist Gil Shaham.

Passionate about bringing classical music to new audiences, Orli maintains an active parallel career as a respected broadcaster, music writer and lecturer. In 2010, she created “Baby Got Bach,” a series of interactive classical concerts for young children. She has taught music literature at Columbia University, contributed articles to Piano Today, Symphony and Playbill, and served as artist in residence on National Public Radio’s Performance Today. Orli’s prodigious skills and the emotional truth of her artistry combine to create playing of the highest order.
