DISD students see shows, do workshops and have dinner at one of our education programs
Earlier this summer, students from eight Dallas ISD high schools came to the Winspear Opera House to see the Broadway play The Humans, which won the Tony for Best Play in 2016. They participated in preshow workshops led by professional teaching artists and had an al fresco dinner on stage in Strauss Square. Check it out:
The students watched the Tony-winning play The Humans after learning about it in their classrooms.
But first, professional teaching artists led them through performance exercises which included acting out their own scenes.
And, best of all, there were tacos generously provided by our friends at Taqueria La Ventana of Firebird Restaurant Group!
It was a working dinner.
