Opera House “One of the Most Beautiful Buildings I’ve Ever Seen In My Life”

Harry Connick, Jr. didn’t waste any time charming a packed house during his concert Friday night in the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House.

As quoted in The Dallas Morning News, “I always remember having the best time, and this is one of the most beautiful buildings I’ve ever seen in my life,” he said, wondering why it had been so long since he had visited Dallas. “This is the perfect city to play. New Orleans has seen me; they’re over it.”

Connick also praised our city for its support of young artists through the “phenomenal” Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, the Center’s neighbor. During an impromptu visit, he was impressed by the students and facilities.
