Center Welcomes New Neighbor to Arts District
The AT&T Performing Arts Center is thrilled to welcome our new neighbor, the Dallas City Performance Hall, to the Dallas Arts District. The opening of this facility completes the construction of major performance venues in the Arts District. The 750-seat hall will be a beautiful and functional new home for many emerging and mid-sized performing artists, groups and cultural organizations in Dallas, and will bring them together in the Arts District.
The Grand Opening featured music from the Townview Big D Band of the Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Magnet Center and remarks from Maria Muñoz-Blanco, Director of Cultural Affairs for the City of Dallas, Rev. J. Eduardo Gonzalez of the Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of the Guadalupe, Mayor Mike Rawlings, Councilmembers Ann Margolin and Angela Hunt and City Manager Mary Suhm.
