About the program

Open Stages provides middle and high school students in Dallas ISD and Richardson ISD with the opportunity to see a professional live performance — a first for many.

Along with attending a high-caliber performance at one of the Center’s premier venues, students also engage in pre-show workshops taught by local teaching artists. By exploring the show’s themes, students gain a holistic understanding of the piece they are about to see.

Open Stages is generously supported by Fichtenbaum Charitable Trust, the Crowley Foundation, H-E-B, and individual contributions to the Center’s annual fund.
