TWO WORLD PREMIERES:
ONE MAKING HISTORY
THE OTHER REFLECTING HISTORY
You can be a part of an historic event when audience members will use wireless headphones to select from three original musical scores to experience Tiffany Rea-Fisher’s The B-Side. Take control of your dance groove during this world premiere choosing between– the B-Side of Motown music, acoustic music or an electronic synthesized version.
Then travel back in time through 100 years of African American dance masters like Pearl Primus and Alvin Ailey in Tribute, a multimedia world premiere set to jazz and Negro spirituals. It’s a commissioned work by choreographer Matthew Rushing of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Mr. Rushing’s choreography has been selected as a recipient of a grant from the TACA Donna Wilhelm Family New Works Fund.
