“Thierry Malandain, choreographer of Ballet Biarritz, is a paradoxical artist. Scholar creator who knows music and ballet history by heart, he composes a wordless dance. He’s the spring from where the movement runs out.”
Due to unforeseen weather issues, the cargo vessel containing the sets and costumes for France’s Malandain Ballet Biarritz production of Cinderella was delayed in getting to the Port of Miami in time to reach Dallas for this weekend’s TITAS Presents program.
The Ballet Biarritz company has arrived in Dallas, and a new program, all choreographed by Thierry Malandain, will be presented as scheduled in Dallas City Performance Hall. (Parental note: One work does contain brief nudity from behind.)
The three works are:
- Maurice Ravel’s Bolero
- Antonio Vivaldi’s Estro
- Vincent Dumestre’s Une dernière Chanson (A Last Song)
