William Shakespeare’s plays and sonnets touch on every major theme in life, and this one is no different. One of Shakespeare’s most charismatic villains cuts a scorched-earth swath through the politicos, power mongers, and even family members who stand between him and the crown. But before King Richard III can enjoy the fruits of his ill-gotten gain, something stirs that freezes him in his tracks: conscience!
As part of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Richard III will be performed twice in staged readings at the AT&T Performing Arts Center. The focus of the work is the text, on stage and UNCUT! In a unique collaboration with Shakespeare Dallas, The Complete Works will be presented over a five-year span in the intimate Hamon Hall inside the Winspear Opera House.
