AT&T Performing Arts Center Hosts 2nd Annual Latinidad Festival This September

Festival will take place September 23, 2023, in Annette Strauss Square with a pop-up market curated by Hecho Con Amor

(DALLAS) – The nonprofit, AT&T Performing Arts Center will be hosting the 2nd annual Latinidad. This festival is a FREE family-friendly event that brings the color and diversity of Latin America while also supporting and spotlighting local businesses, organizations, and artists.

Guests will be able to support Latino-owned businesses by shopping in the Latinidad Mercado, a pop-up market curated by Hecho Con Amor. Explore authentic Latin American cuisine from local food vendors plus cocktails, beer, and wine for purchase. Connect with local organizations that provide important services and raise awareness for the Latino community, also spearheaded by Hecho Con Amor. Visit with our education department for cultural arts and crafts activities for the entire family from 5-7 pm.

Enjoy live entertainment with music from Fusion Latina and Afro-Cuban Saxophonist, Carlos Avernoff, Jr. Experience the traditional dances of Latin America with presentations from Bombazo DFW, Representa Foundation, and Sunset High School Folklorico Company. Then end the night dancing to the 2020 Tejano Music Awards ‘Best New Female Artist’ and Booker T. Washington HSPVA Alum Monica Salvidar.

Latinidad Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 5:00 pm in Annette Strauss Square.

El festival tomará lugar el 23 de septiembre de 2023 en Annette Strauss Square con un mercado bajo la organización de Hecho Con Amor

(DALLAS) – El AT&T Performing Arts Center, organización sin fines de lucro, presentará la 2a edición anual de Latinidad. Este festival es un evento GRATUITO para toda la familia que trae el color y la diversidad de América Latina, que a la vez apoya y destaca a las empresas, organizaciones y artistas locales.

Los visitantes podrán apoyar a los negocios de propietarios latinos comprando en el Mercado Latinidad, bajo la organización de Hecho Con Amor. Explore la auténtica cocina latinoamericana en los puestos de comida locales, además de cócteles, cerveza y vino a la venta. Conéctese con organizaciones locales que ofrecen importantes servicios y concientizan a la comunidad latina, lideradas por Hecho Con Amor. Visite nuestro departamento de educación para disfrutar de actividades culturales artísticas y artesanales para toda la familia de 5 a 7 pm.

Disfrute del entretenimiento en vivo con la música de Fusion Latina y el saxofonista afrocubano Carlos Avernoff, Jr. Experimente los bailes tradicionales de Latinoamérica con las presentaciones de Bombazo DFW, Representa Foundation y Sunset High School Folklorico Company. Y finalmente, termine la noche bailando al ritmo de la “Mejor Nueva Artista Femenina” de los Premios Tejano Music 2020 y exalumna de la HSPVA Booker T. Washington, Monica Salvidar.
