JEFF WHITTINGTON ANSWERS ANYTHING YOU EVER WANTED TO KNOW AT THE CENTER

Jeff Whittington brought his long-running weekly call-in show Anything You Ever Wanted to Know to Sammons Park on the AT&T Performing Arts Center campus. Patrons enjoying a cup of Joe at Pearl Cup Coffee were able to ask a question or take in this wildly popular KERA program.

The partnership between the AT&T Performing Arts Center and KERA goes back a long way, bringing a wide variety of cultural activities to the public. Together, the two organizations premiered Downton Abbey in the Winspear Opera House; hosted the StoryCorps recording studio; and presented a number of public radio stars, including Neil deGrasse Tyson most recently. Tyson was part of the all-star #thinkspeak speaker series co-presented by KERA and the Center, with tickets still available for Serial’s Sarah Koenig and Ira Glass.

Whittington answered questions from fruit fly removal to metal detector rentals, in addition to highlighting a guest appearance from the Dallas Arts District Executive Director Catherine Cuellar, who came to talk about the Arts District’s summer block party.

The Center seeks to provide a public gathering place that strengthens community and fosters creativity, and we’re happy to host KERA to accomplish this goal.
