Box Office and Café Will Be Welcome Additions to Arts District

Construction of the new Box Office Pavilion at the AT&T Performing Arts Center reached an important milestone this week with the installation of the steel structure. Crews staged a crane on Flora Street in the Dallas Arts District and swung the seven primary roof panels into place in a single day. When finished, the new 2,300 sq. ft. structure will be completely sheathed in glass, which is scheduled for delivery in February. Construction is scheduled for completion by May 2013.

Inside, the pavilion will offer patrons access to a centralized ticketing box office, information center, and café, all of which will be a welcoming addition for visitors to the Arts District. The building will be located directly off Flora Street, making it a highly visible and convenient resource for information and tickets. Meanwhile, the new café will offer specialty foods and coffee beverages throughout the day and into the evenings. The design architect is Foster + Partners of London and Dallas’ Good Fulton & Farrell is the local Architect of Record.
